Our guide to selling your home
When it comes to selling there are key steps you can take to make your property stand out. By investing just a small amount of time, you have the potential to increase your sales value, create buyer competition and decrease your home’s time on the market. We’ve curated our top tips below.
Before you list
TIP ONE
Declutter those cupboards, coat hooks, shelves and surfaces. Let your space sing and feel as open as possible
TiP TWO
Patch, paint and caulk any holes, scuffs and unfinished projects. Show that your home is ready to live in.
TIP THREE
Deep clean and dust. Whether you do it yourself or hire some help, don’t forget your windows, decking and patios.
TIP FOUR
Give your garden some TLC. Simply weeding, adding fresh soil to flower beds and a new plant or two will bring a dose of colour and life.

First impression is key, preparing your home for viewers is essential. Declutter – but don’t depersonalise, make sure your home is clean, fix anything broken and keep/create a lifestyle for one to buy into.

TIP FIVE
Lighting is key. Blinds and curtains should be open, with all lightbulbs working and switched on.
TIP SIX
Think about your home’s scent. Neutralise smells and add reed diffusers to create a fragrant welcome.
TIP SEVEN
Leave notes that highlight unseen features of your property. Maybe you have underfloor heating, a new major appliance, fibre broadband? Let your viewers know.
TIP EIGHT
Help your buyer to imagine themselves in the space. Remove large family photos that may be acting as a focal point in a room.
